Fianko
Terms of use

The rules, in plain words

Fianko is published by . By using the app, you agree to these terms.

Using Fianko

Fianko is an app for learning chess openings. You can use it for your own learning, at your own pace, on your own phones.

Fianko Plus

You can use Fianko for free. Fianko Plus opens every opening, every endgame chapter, unlimited puzzles and every new course as it comes out. It is sold only through Google Play, which shows you the price in your currency before you pay, and takes the payment.

Plus comes as a monthly or a yearly subscription, or as a lifetime plan. A subscription renews automatically at the end of each month or year until you cancel it in Google Play. When you cancel, Plus stays on until the end of the time you have already paid for. If you have never subscribed to Plus, the yearly plan starts with 7 free days: Google Play charges the first year when they end, unless you cancel before. The lifetime plan is one payment, with nothing to renew.

Refunds are handled by Google Play, under its refund policies. Nothing in these terms takes away the rights you have under consumer law, including the Australian Consumer Law.

Your progress

Your progress lives on your phone. If you reset it, remove the app or lose your phone, we cannot bring it back, because we never had a copy.

The lessons

The lessons, texts, pictures and the knight belong to Fianko. Please do not copy them, sell them or put them in another app. The chess moves themselves belong to everyone.

Mistakes

We check every lesson with care, but a lesson can still contain a mistake. If you find one, tell us and we will fix it. Fianko is provided as it is and, as far as the law allows, we are not responsible for losses that come from using it.

Changes

We may update these terms when the app changes. The date below shows the last change. If you keep using Fianko after a change, the new terms apply.

The law

These terms follow the law of Western Australia, Australia.
